SamSoft whose real name is Samuel Soft Akhimienho from the ancient city
of Uzzeba , Edo State Nigeria has risen to stardom via the dint of hard
work, dedication and God’s unmerited grace. He is popularly called the king of gospel
Afrocentric hip-hop and is blessed with an awesome voice and natural flair for
inspiring the audience with soul-stirring performances.
multi-talented Edo state indigene grew up in Sapele, Delta State - Southern
Nigeria. In the quest of sharpening his musical talent, he moved to the
United States of America where he
has become a phenomenon in the gospel industry, as his unique style of music
has earned him a platinum selling status in the United States. He has worked
with the likes of Phill Driscoll, Ron Kenoly, Tye Tribbett, Alvin Slaughter,
Martha Munizzi and many more.
He currently plays four musical instruments including the keyboard, drum and bass guitar. Samsoft is presently the chairman of Fellowship of Gospel Music Ministers of Nigeria [Fogmmon] Boston chapter and the ambassador for W2W Divine Icon; aka wisdom to wealth Africa.
The gospel icon presently resides in Boston Massachusetts United States of America. Samsoft is a fine anointed singer, an actor, producer and song writer. He has produced hit songs including the popularly known “Hallelujah" Power to reign " Du well " that were top of the chats, along with another song titled "Holy Spirit" which got nominated for best male gospel artist in diaspora at the Crystal Awards. This gospel music sensation got born again at the age of 12 and has been singing and playing the instruments for over 25 years. He has recorded several Solo albums such as "Soar Like an Eagle”, “Dunamis", "Love”, “I will “and anticipates making many more recordings some of which are already on the horizons.

Over the years, Samsoft Music Ministry thrived with support from his late wife Sharon M Barrows Akhimienho who ensured his gift and talents did not go unutilized. She played a major role in the success of Samsoft’s musical career. Throughout the years Sharon showed unwavering love; she was never selfish, invested a wealth of time and energy in the ministry and simultaneously provided moral support and business advice. She was an angel with a big heart that radiated love and care until God called her home on September 14th, 2016.
